The NTS laboratory in Anaheim continues to expand. One of NTS’s three test labs in Orange County, CA, the Anaheim facility recently added new equipment to provide best-in-class services in the following areas:

  • Tension and Compression Testing
  • Thermomechanical Analysis and Differential Scanning Calorimetry
  • X-Ray Fluorescence

With the purchase of a new Instron Pull Tester, the lab is able to increase its tension and compression testing capacity by 250kN (56K Lbs) and its extension up to 72 inches—all while integrated extensometer and strain gauge inputs. As a result, the lab can apply tensile strength at higher loads, increase point bend fixture, and compress at higher loadsNew differential scanning calorimetry equipment is welcome news to materials manufacturers, providing multiple samples and improved graphing. Meanwhile, the X-Ray Fluorescence helps customers determine material coating type, composition, and thickness. As the market contracts, NTS continues to invest in new equipment in different labs throughout the country.
