NTS Renews CBTL Approval for Medical EMC Testing

NTS Longmont is one of the few CB Testing Laboratories (CBTL) for electromagnetic compatibility in the US. NTS Longmont has long been a leader in EMC testing for medical products to the CE, FDA and JFDA specifications. The CBTL approval enables NTS to provide CB Scheme EMC testing for medical products. The scope of approval includes the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th editions of IEC 60601-1-2.The CB Scheme is an internationally accepted approach to compliance for electrical and electronic equipment. It is operated by the IEC System for Conformity Testing and Certification of Electrotechnical Equipment and Components (IECEE). While it is well-established for product safety, the EMC part of the CB Scheme is only recently gaining traction, particularly for medical equipment.
