Argentina has recently created a new government agency, Autoridad Federal de Tecnologías de la Información y las Comunicaciones or AFTIC (English: Federal Authority for Information and Communications Technologies).AFTIC will control or absorb all Comisión Nacional de Comunicaciones or CNC (English: National Communication Commision) activities, including certification of telecommunication equipment.The directors of AFTIC are yet to be named. As of today, no changes have been made regarding the homologation process and the CNC labeling regulation (recently modified) is still enforced.
